Doing Good

A compassion education initiative by The Forgotten International.

We at The Forgotten International want to encourage young people in the United States to be aware of all that they have, and begin to think of ways to benefit others. We feel the most impactful way we can alleviate poverty domestically, within the scope of our limited resources, is to cultivate the next generation of philanthropists and world-changers. We approach this by educating young people about poverty, and encouraging them to get involved to make a difference in their local and global communities.

Our Programs

The Doing Good Program’s intention is to teach young people what it means to be human (how we all want and need the same things), how we can care for ourselves AND others at the same time, and how to turn our empathy into action in an effort to make the world a better place. Compassion can be considered as today’s one word summation of the golden rule. If we expect compassion and empathy to flower on a collective level, then we must plant their seeds in our children.
